Our mission
Switzerland matters beyond its borders: its banks, its neutrality, its direct democracy, its role as host to international Geneva. Yet much of Swiss public life is documented only in German, French or Italian. Times of Switzerland exists to close that gap with careful, independent journalism in English, covering federal politics, law, markets, energy, climate and world affairs.
We are funded by reader subscriptions and newsletters. We carry no display advertising and answer to no political party or owner with outside business interests.

Ethics and standards
We separate news from opinion, label both clearly, and link to primary sources wherever possible. Journalists at Times of Switzerland accept no payment, gifts or favours from the people and institutions they cover. Anonymous sources are used only when the information is important, cannot be obtained otherwise, and the source's motive is understood. Market data on this site is indicative and never presented as investment advice.
Corrections policy
When we get something wrong, we fix it promptly and say so. Factual corrections are marked at the foot of the article with the time of the change; significant errors are also noted at the top. To request a correction, use our contact page or email corrections@timesofswitzerland.ch with the article URL and the claim in dispute. We review every request and reply within two working days.

Accessibility statement
We want everyone to be able to read Times of Switzerland. This site aims for WCAG 2.1 AA and includes the following features:
An accessibility panel, available from the round button at the bottom left of every page, offering text resizing, high contrast mode, underlined links and reduced motion. Semantic landmarks, skip links and labelled forms throughout. High contrast text and a minimum of 4.5:1 contrast for body copy. Full keyboard operability, including closing the newsletter popup with the Escape key.
